PROJECT SUMMARY
My objective for the project was to make the paper airplane fly farther than half of the field. After researching paper airplanes, I changed the objective to make the plane fly half and a half of the field and eventually succeeded.
WHY?
The main purpose of this project was to make a paper airplane to fly more than half of the soccer field. I tried to answer which type of paper airplane can fly the best, what kind of paper should I use, etc.
HOW?
Basically, I made the paper airplane, after watching the video of how to make a world record paper airplane, by not just using paper, but additional things such as tape. Also, I made Google slides to provide what I made, how the project went on, and the research I did.
WHAT?
I succeeded to make the airplane fly about the distance. Also, I found out that using tape and those kinds of additional stuff makes the airplane fly better.
SO WHAT?
The result is important because I actually succeeded in the project, and I learned lots of things though the research. I was able to learn that progress is more valuable than the result as well at the end, so I think it is important.
WHAT'S NEXT?
To extend my project, I think I can research more about specific forces that make the airplane fly and more additional materials needed to make it farther. Also, I think I also can make more than three different kinds of prototypes which have just a bit of difference between additional things to compare which is the best to fly.
REFERENCES & ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
I got the idea about the project by looking at classmates making the paper airplane and playing with it.
JUDGES FEEDBACK
This sounds like it was a fun project. Is the image you provided your final version of the plane? You mentioned that you created a slide presentation of your process, but you did not provide a link.
