PROJECT SUMMARY
We needed to create a sustainable business so we decided to create one that would make a change in the Ypacarai lake conditions. We wanted to create a business that would help with that because it is such an important place here in Paraguay. We created a nonprofit organization, and it offers benefits for the water and those around.
WHY?
We did this project because there is a lot of concern about the lake and we did not want it to be too late. The conditions of the water are concerning because we need to change for the good, for better summers and it is such an important attraction, especially during the summer.
HOW?
We created the solution because when we went to the Ecogranja, we saw they were working on a similar mechanism. We thought it was a great idea and it was a sustainable one.
WHAT?
We found out it was not so cheap but it is worth it. It provides benefits not only for the water but for the environment.
SO WHAT?
Our results are important because it is a good solution and the idea of it being a nonprofit organization is also good because people will want to help because people will feel like they are a part of something. Also, them seeing the changes and the benefits will encourage them to make a change.
WHAT'S NEXT?
We could extend our project by actually doing it and maybe working with the Ecogranja to get the plants.

We got information from other examples of lakes that have been restored such as the Great Lakes. Also, we got the idea of the aquatic plants because of the Ecogranja.
