PROJECT SUMMARY
The main theme of this project was being able to use the concepts of STEAM and at the same time getting to learn the functions of Blender with 3D modeling. Rather than having to focus on creating a simple output out of nowhere, I wanted to make it more complex with explaining the connections on the concepts I used and meanings behind each component of my work.
Thus, my final product depicts a surreal sculpture of a snake and an oasis of my subconscious in its mouth.
WHY?
The main reason that made me want to intiate this project was because I wanted to challenge myself with being able to synthesize more than two concepts of STEAM, which so I decided to use my physical 'A'rtwork of a surreal room and put that together into 'T'echnology of 3d modeling on Blender.
HOW?
Heavily inspired my the theme of 'surrealism' and the paintings of Salvador Dali, I decided to draw a room of mine where I pictured unreal, peculiar objects going on my subconciousness. Intially starting from the human eye in the clam I started drawing out more objects that aren't in the form of how they're supposed to be. Creatures and objects like a snake through the cracked wall with waves, a door to an unknown space and stairs on the ceiling added the peculiar and oddness that I pictured in imagination, and then I started sketching with a few of those objects I drew to how I could design it on Blender. The clam eye, snake, and wave was the major ones I rendered, as shown in the prototype sketches.
Rather than making it a simple room, I thought another 'surreal' space could be the snake's mouth, so I started the planning according to that inital point. Then I was thinking I could make it as sort of an imaginary oasis hidden behind the dangerousness of snakes, which is why I made the waves to be made out of gold and the treasure or key that is meant to allow humanity expand their wisdom drawn out as the human eye inside the clam.
WHAT?
The 3d modeling of my prototype didn't go exactly as what I proposed and expected, as you can see comparing to the actual results and initial sketch- a lot of components are missing like the moon and clock eyes for the snake or clown hat flowers insdie its mouth. This was mainly because as a beginner of blender, I didn't take much deep consideration on the difficulty and extent of what I could actually create with my skills.
So the only objects I was able to make were the snake, clam eye, and the golden waves.
SO WHAT?
Although I wouldn't say it was a big success as what I expected at first, it means a lot in that I was able to expand more in the skills and knowledges of using the tools of blender- for example, other than just sculpting and making shapes, I learned ways to use Geometric Nodes which are functions helpful for creating animation on objects and also for rendering with colors. This is a big step forward for me who has only used Tinkercad as the only 3d modeling source, which now I became more familiar with an actual quality software program of Blender to allow me to challenge further more in the future. In addition to that, in anyways I did ultimately achieve my goal on taking ideas based on a set theme of surrealism which was physically drawn out 2D art at first, then into a 3d model using my computer as a 'technology.'
WHAT'S NEXT?
I definitely think there are more steps from this rough draft of a 3d model as a beginner, which if possible, I'd like to improve to add more objects like the moon, clock, and clown hat flowers as planned, texture to the snake's body to add details to its skin with scales, more precise color choice, and perhaps some animated movements to the golden waves for a better representation.

JUDGES FEEDBACK
This is a great project because of it's uniqueness. I do also like how you were conciouss of desiring to use multiple compenents of STEAM rather than identify a project as a stand alone project in just one of those categories. You mentioned how you have ideas for future models which is something many would really like to see.
