PROJECT SUMMARY
My project consists of a collection of Photographs I took using a Canon camera. For this project I took multiple pictures around the house of inanimate objects using different photography techniques.
WHY?
I did this project as a part of a personal project for a digital creativity class. I was also trying to learn about the difference techniques that photography uses.
HOW?
I used a Canon camera to take the pictures and used the multiple "distances" of the lens. I also had to move the objects around for them to look good.
WHAT?
I found out that position is important when taking pictures, like for example, a picture that has a focus point looks much better than a picture in which you didn't think about the position of the object. I also found out that lighting is more important than I thought when taking pictures.
SO WHAT?
My conclusions are that you always have to have a focus point for your photographs, especially if you want them to "zone in" on something or someone before anything else. You also need to go out when the lighting is good, but even with good lighting editing pictures is good sometimes.Â
WHAT'S NEXT?
Some of my photographs weren't that good because I didn't use lighting and perspective to my advantage. This could be improved if I was more patient with it next time.
REFERENCES & ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
I got the idea for this project because I have always liked photography and wanted to apply photography to a project. Photography has been in my life since I was a kid, especially because I have a family friend that is a professional photographer and has taken some photographs for National Geographic. I also did modeling for a fashion magazine my Flamenco teacher had (of her own clothes and products she sold) when I was a kid, coincidentally the photographer was my school classmate's dad.
JUDGES FEEDBACK
Congratulations on your photography project! Your photos are fantastic. I especially love the composition of the sharpie photo. I'd love to see where you take your talent next.
