PROJECT SUMMARY
My project is a line following robot, I used an infrared sensor(line following sensor), I was curious to learn more about how to code, machines to do certain actions that could be used for every day tasks, so I made this line following robot.
WHY?
I wanted to find out what was behind factory machines since I see people use it all the time, I tried to recreate one of these machines using a kit I found online. This line following robot can be used in many ways such as a waitress that follows lines through the kitchen and to the table. This is why I built my line following robot.
HOW?
I first built the robot base using a kit named Mbot(mblock is the app). After some trial and error, I watched some YouTube tutorials and finally came to a conclusion, I understood the code and why it worked. After making a few custom adjustments, the line following robot was good to go.
WHAT?
During this project I learned the coding basics along with structure and the different components used in my project, I feel this line following robot could be used for every day tasks such as cleaning the floors, tables and more. Above all this I used Mbot(mblock) for the easy use of coding and functionality.
SO WHAT?
This robot could be used in numerous ways such as daily chores, including sweeping, cleaning and more. The main reason this robot could help the way we work is on factory floors, simply mapping lines across the factory’s and let robots carry the items to different stations of work.
WHAT'S NEXT?
This robot could be extended by increasing the size of the robots, additionally by adding strong robotic arms allowing the robot to cary heavy things from one place to another, these are only some of the ideas I have thought of to extend this project.
